Decide the role before the reference

A watch you wear daily needs a bracelet, decent water resistance and legibility. A watch for occasions can be thin, precious and impractical. Buying the wrong category is the most common first mistake.

Budget with a service reserve

Set aside a service allowance on any pre-owned purchase without recent history. The watch that looks like a bargain and needs immediate work usually is not one.

Buy condition over specification

Between two examples of the same reference, take the honest, unpolished, well-documented one at a higher price. Condition is permanent; a slightly different dial colour is not.

Try before you commit where you can

Ask for wrist shots and full measurements. We send both on request, along with the timegrapher readout and macro photographs of any flaw.
